"Canción Criolla"

On October 31st we celebrated the "Canción Criolla" every year, but it was saturday, instead we celebrated on the 30th.

In the morning Pandas children were getting at school dressed up with Criollan outfit, that means like limeños from long time ago and also other peruvian outfits.They looked so cute.

Parabola films, bring us a Peruvian theater "Nuestra Selva", kids enjoyed the puppet theater and took pictures with the otorongo doll.

Then the party started with a delicious criollan food, all kids brought something to share with their friends like: tamales, humitas, papa a la huancaína, alfajores,suspiro a la limeña, arroz con leche, mazamorra, chicha morada, etc.

Finally they danced criollan music, they loved it....Y se llama Peru con P de patria, la E del ejemplo , la R de rifle y la U de la unión.

Regional Fair

From July 13th to 17th, we celebrated the Regional Fair. The children made a big vicuña, using cardboard, newspaper, kraft paper, glue and their creativity. They worked on different activities during all the week: decorating peruvian maps, making ceramics making huacos, and the most important was the project they made with their parents at home. They investigated about peruvian places, specially the places they have visited with their parents, they shared information, pictures,and they pasted all together on a big cardboard. Finally they had their exhibition about the places they have investigated.

"Spring Festival"

On October 9th, was the final for the Spring Festival. All the school participated, from the little ones (Nursery) to the big ones (Senior). In our classes we worked hard to participate in all the contests, we did it with so much effort and caring.Stories, poems, drawings, drama, in English and in Spanish as well.

We were so glad to have participated, but also we were more glad to have some winners. yeeeee!!!!

Fieldtrip to "El Remanso"

On September 29th, Pandas class went to "El Remanso" Club in Chosica. The weather was so warm, and they had the chance to look around for many living things and non living things (this was the Inquiry theme.

It took one hour to get there and as soon as we arrived, they explore a bit. First kids had their snack, then we went to looked around, we found a beautiful pond with ducks and ducklings, and so much green. Finally, they played a lot in all the funny games at the playground.

Fieldtrip to "My Community"

On August 25th, Pandas´ children went to a special fieldtrip. This fieldtrip included some of the important places from our community as the Police Station and the Fire Station. They were so glad watching at the policemen in action, they visited the office, spoke on the speaker, heard the siren, a nice policewoman gave us the tour. Then, we went to a beautiful park in Miraflores, where they had their snack and enjoyed free time at the playground. Finally we went to visit the Fire station, we left some presents, and they chose their teacher to dress up as a fireman.....:):):) really heavy clothes!!!!What a job!!! My bow to you, community helpers, thanks a lot!!!
At the end of the day they had a blast and me too.

Children´s day

On August 21st we celebrate children´s day. The children enjoyed a fun morning with different activities. The day started with all kids coming to the school with nice and creative costumes, then they got face painting. Around 10 am they enjoyed a musical show, a puppet show, dancing contests, etc.At the end they had a pizza party. They had an amazing time all day long.
I love you Pandas and I hope you had a great time. :):):):):)

Library Activity

The library organized some beautiful activities for all our kids.With these activities they motivated the kids to visit the school´s library and the enjoyment for reading. All the Assitant teachers were preparing these amazing show for them under Miss Charito supervision. As well Miss Blanca presented one of her books, and kids love the story.

Field Trip " Parque de Las Leyendas"

Our first field trip of the year, was to "Parque de las Leyendas", Pandas´ kids were very excited, we share the bus with squirrels class. As soon as we got there, the kids had lunch and then our voyage starts, let me tell you that I had a few tour guides,pandas were helping with the maps, searching different animals, reading the specific animals names, and helping to guide the whole group.
First we went to see the jungle animals, then some mountain animals, of course they love to see the penguins, and the big seal, a baby bear, lots of monkeys and a cute squirrel that was running around all the park. Our trip finish passing by the suspension bridge.Yeee!!!

Veggie Patch

Last monday Panda´s children went to plant some seeds.They talk to the gardener and the kids choose to plant spinach beet and radish. With this activity the children realize that the seeds were very little, they put only 2 seeds in each hole. They were very excited, and they have lots of fun.

Pandas at recess, everyday our kids have some time for free games. We are sharing this pictures and you can see them having lots of fun. Their favorites, run , run and run. Slides, colecting flowers ( only those that are on the floor), pretending being some super heroes....Enjoy them!

MY Senses

Kinder Pandas was learning about senses, this time they play a game called "Guess...is it salty?...sweet?...or sour?". Have a look of these nice pictures and at the end students did a team work coloring the story about senses.

NUMBERS

In this activity my students were remembering the numbers, how to write them. They love it, because they have to follow a sequence of activities, first they have to get on the start line, then run and walk through the number that was written on the floor, then they have to get a marker next to the wall and write a big number(on a paper pasted on the wall), finally put the lid on the marker, and came back to the starting line, shouting the name of the number, they had a blast!
